URURKA BARAKACAYAASHA ISKAASHATADA ISKAASHI (UBII) is a reputable cooperative organizationbased in Mogadishu, Somalia, dedicated to empowering internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable communities. Established in 2022, UBII operates primarily in the Banadir region, focusing on the Garasbaley catchment area. Our mission is to provide sustainable development initiatives, economic empowerment, and advocacy for the rights of IDPs, fostering social cohesion and resilience

Vision

To establish a resilient, self-sufficient community where IDPs and vulnerable populations can thrive, access their rights, and contribute positively to society.

Mission

To empower IDPs through capacity building, economic opportunities, and effective advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard, and their rights are upheld.

Economic Empowerment: Facilitate training and resources for IDPs to create businesses and enhance livelihoods.

  • To secure land for new internally displaced persons (IDPs) to live during their stay.
  • To establish agreements with landowners for legal tenure.
  • To prevent forced displacement of the local community.
